Material Inspection
- Inspect tiles for damage such as chipped edges or broken pieces before installation.
- Natural variations in color, pattern, texture, and veining may occur.
- Adjustments or service will not be provided after installation starts.
Substrate Preparation
- Install tiles on a clean, flat, contaminant-free, and crack-free surface.
- Waterproof wet areas with a compatible membrane.
- Install expansion joints at all changes in plane and where tile abuts restraining surfaces.
- Use silicone caulking sealant in all corner joints instead of grout.
Installation
- Dry-fit the pattern to plan cuts and visualize placement, especially for tiles with variations.
- Use white thin-set mortar to avoid altering tile color. For quicker work, use rapid-curing thin-set mortar.
- Apply adhesive for tiles that can be covered within 10-15 minutes.
- Minimum grout joint size: 1/16".
- Suggested trowels:
- 9" trowel with 1/8" square notch.
- For ceramic tiles, use a 3/16" or 1/4" square notch trowel.
Grouting
- Use non-sanded grout for ceramic tiles to avoid scratching.
- Test grout on a small area before proceeding.
- Pack grout joints fully, cleaning excess grout promptly.
- Avoid using acids to clean grout haze.
- Use a damp sponge for final cleaning and to smooth grout joints.
- Apply grout release before grouting to ease cleaning and prevent stains.
Cutting
- For optimal results, use a wet saw with a continuous rim diamond blade designed for ceramic tile cutting.
Cleaning
- For porcelain tiles, clean with a solution of 1/4 cup white vinegar to 2 gallons of water.
- Sweep or vacuum dust and debris, using a two-direction method (first with the grain, then diagonally).
- Saturate the tile with a neutral cleaning solution, scrub, and rinse with clean water.
- In high-traffic areas, clean floors daily and wet mop regularly.
Reminders
- Do not use ammonia, bleach, acids, wax, or oil-based cleaners.
- Avoid using steel wool, which can rust and stain the grout.
- Place rugs at entrances to reduce dirt and grit on the flooring.

Returns Policy
You may return most new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error (you received an incorrect or defective item, etc.).
You should expect to receive your refund within four weeks of giving your package to the return shipper, however, in many cases you will receive a refund more quickly. This time period includes the transit time for us to receive your return from the shipper (5 to 10 business days), the time it takes us to process your return once we receive it (3 to 5 business days), and the time it takes your bank to process our refund request (5 to 10 business days).
If you need to return an item, simply login to your account, view the order using the "Complete Orders" link under the My Account menu and click the Return Item(s) button. We'll notify you via e-mail of your refund once we've received and processed the returned item.
