Material Inspection

• Natural Variations: Expect differences in color, pattern, texture, and veining, as the stones are natural products.
• Pre-Installation Check: Inspect tiles for any damage such as chipped edges or broken pieces before installation. No adjustments or services will be provided after installation begins.

Installation Guidelines

1. Dry-Fitting: Lay out the pattern before applying adhesive to visualize placement and plan cuts, which is especially useful for tiles with varied patterns.
2. Using Thinset Mortar:
   • Use white thinset mortar to avoid altering the tile’s color.
   • For quicker installation, use rapid curing thinset.
3. Adhesive Application:
   • Apply as much adhesive as can be covered within 10-15 minutes.
   • Maintain a grout joint of at least 1/16" and avoid butt-setting the tiles.
   • Use a 3/16" or 1/4" square notch trowel to apply the adhesive.
   • Smooth down ridges with the flat side of the trowel before laying tiles.

Grouting Instructions

• Use non-sanded grout to avoid scratching the stone.
• Test a small section before full grouting to ensure the tile won’t scratch.
• Fill grout joints fully, leaving no pits or voids.
• Clean excess grout as you work, preventing it from hardening.
• Avoid using acid-based cleaners to remove grout haze.
• Use a damp sponge to clean and smooth the grout joints.
• Apply grout release before grouting to ease cleaning and protect the stone from staining.

Sealing

• After installation and grouting, apply a high-quality breathable stone sealer to protect the tile from water absorption, efflorescence, and stains.
• Use a color enhancer if you want to bring out the stone's natural color.
• Reseal tiles when needed, especially if they darken over time.

Cutting

• Use a wet-saw equipped with a new, continuous rim diamond blade designed for marble.
• Avoid using “turbo” or notched blades to prevent chipping and rough cuts.

Care and Maintenance

• Clean stone surfaces with a few drops of neutral cleaner, stone soap, or mild liquid dishwashing detergent mixed with warm water.
• Rinse thoroughly after cleaning, and dry with a soft cloth to prevent streaks or film.
• Avoid cleaning products with acidic ingredients like lemon or vinegar, and do not use abrasive cleaners.
